SFBU offers a unique condo-style living experience designed to help you transition into a professional life. You will live in a fully furnished, two-bedroom apartment unit (double occupancy) equipped with high-speed internet and an in-unit washer and dryer.

Unlike traditional dorms, there is no need for a meal plan. Each unit features a full kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, and dining area, giving you the freedom to cook your own meals or explore the diverse culinary scene in Fremont and the wider Bay Area with your roommates.

Can I transfer credits between NXU and SFBU?

Yes. This pathway is designed to maximize your transfer credits so you don't repeat coursework.

For BBA: You may transfer up to 90 credits toward the 120 credits required for the SFBU Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
For MBA: You may transfer up to 12 credits toward the 36 credits required for the SFBU Master of Business Administration.
Note: Transfer eligibility depends on successfully completing the mapped courses for major requirements and maintaining the required GPA.

Will my degree come from NXU or SFBU?

our degree is awarded by the institution where you complete your final credits. If you complete the full pathway—starting at Nexford and transferring to San Francisco—your final diploma will be awarded by San Francisco Bay University.

How does tuition work under this partnership?

You pay Nexford’s affordable tuition rates for the online portion of your degree. Once you transfer to SFBU for the on-campus portion, you will pay SFBU’s tuition fees.

Bonus: SFBU automatically considers all partnership applicants for tuition scholarships to help reduce these costs.

How do I apply to the partnership programs?

You will first need to gain admission to Nexford then when you are ready to transfer to San Francisco Bay University, our admissions team will guide you on how to do so in the most seamless way possible.

Is the program 100% online?

No. This is a hybrid pathway. You begin your studies 100% online with Nexford (saving on tuition and living costs) and then relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area to complete your degree on-campus. This gives you the flexibility of online learning combined with the in-person networking opportunities of Silicon Valley.

What happens if I don't get my visa?

If your visa application is denied, you have a safety net. You can continue your studies online with Nexford University and complete your degree from home without losing your earned credits.

What happens if I start and don't want to transfer later?

ou are not locked in. If your circumstances change and you decide not to move to the US, you can simply complete the remainder of your program online at Nexford and earn your degree from NXU.

Can I work in the US while I study?

Yes. International students on an F-1 visa at SFBU may be eligible for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) and Optional Practical Training (OPT). This allows you to gain paid professional work experience in the US during and after your degree.
