When applying for any pathway program, you will be starting with Nexford University. Nexford's admission requirements are detailed here for each of our programs.

Once you complete your Nexford MBA and are ready to transition to Capella, our admissions team will help you compile all the necessary documents. There is no additional application fee for Capella's MBA or DBA programs.

For Capella's MBA: You'll need a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. GRE/GMAT not required.

For Capella's DBA: You'll need a master's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum 3.0 GPA. GRE/GMAT not required. International applicants may need to provide proof of English proficiency.

Nexford learners are admissible to Capella provided they meet all published Capella University admissions requirements.

Yes. Up to 12 Nexford MBA credits can transfer into Capella's MBA program, based on course alignment.

For the DBA, two Nexford courses (FIN6060 and ACC6050) may apply toward Capella's DB8415.

Transfer eligibility applies to coursework completed at Nexford from January 20, 2021 onward.

Will my degree come from Nexford or Capella?

Your degree is awarded by the institution where you complete your program. If you transfer to Capella and complete their MBA or DBA, your diploma will come from Capella University.

While enrolled at Nexford, you pay Nexford's tuition. When you transition to Capella, you pay Capella's tuition directly.
