What can I submit as a government ID?
You must submit a copy of a government-issued ID that clearly shows your photo, full name, and date of birth. If your ID includes an expiration date, it must be valid at the time of submission and clearly visible in the uploaded document.
You can submit any of the following:
- Passport
- Driver’s license
- Voter’s card
- National ID card
If you do not have another valid government ID, you may submit your birth certificate with a photo attached. Please make sure the photo does not cover or obscure any important information on the document.
What if my bachelor’s degree does not match the background required for the program?
You may still be admitted even if your bachelor’s degree is in a different field from the required academic background for your chosen program.
In some cases, you may be required to complete foundation course(s) to help you build the knowledge needed before moving on to your core program courses.

These courses are designed to strengthen your foundation and support your success in the program. You must earn a grade of C or higher in the required foundation course(s) before progressing to the core degree program.
Can foundation courses be waived if I have relevant experience or certifications?
If your academic background does not meet the required field of study, you may request a foundation course waiver based on your professional experience, certifications, or prior learning.
To be considered, you will need to demonstrate that your experience aligns with the learning outcomes of the course. Supporting documentation may include:
- At least three (3) years of relevant professional experience, supported by a résumé, or
- An industry-recognized certification, professional training, or related coursework.
Waiver requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require university approval. Please note that approval of a waiver does not waive other admission requirements.
I have a three-year bachelor’s degree. Can I apply to a master’s program at Nexford?
Yes. Applicants with a three-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution are eligible to apply to Nexford University’s master’s degree programs.
Applicants admitted with an international three-year bachelor’s degree should be aware that academic progression requirements may vary outside the United States and may require additional qualifications depending on local regulations.
What if my official transcript is not available yet?
If your official transcript is not yet available, you may submit a document confirming your graduation and highest academic qualification when you apply.
Your official transcript will still be required later and must be submitted once it becomes available.
When is a credential evaluation required?
In some cases, Nexford may request a credential evaluation to verify that your international degree meets the university’s admission requirements.
The evaluation must be completed by an agency that is a member of one of the following organizations:
