Nexford University is accredited by DEAC, which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). We are a degree-granting institution of higher education, licensed by the District of Columbia Education Licensure Commission.

Nexford University is also licensed in the District of Columbia by the Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC) of the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE). Nexford serves learners from around the world and in other states within the US where the university is either exempted, approved, or licensed.

Additionally, Nexford has received official approval from Kenya's Commission for University Education (CUE) to operate in the country through its agency, Nexford Kenya Community.
