Financial Accounting focuses on the foundations of financial accounting concepts and methods used to generate, analyze, and interpret financial statements. Learners perform journal entries and record-keeping of transactions with an understanding of how these accounts are measured and reported in major financial statements.

Financial Accounting Course Overview
Describe the basics of recording transactions including debits, credits, and journal entries
Determine when to recognize revenues and expenses
Categorize assets, liabilities, and shareholders’ equity
Measure and report assets, liabilities, and shareholders’ equity accounts using International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Present a complete set of financial statements including a statement of comprehensive income, a statement of financial position, a statement of cash flows, and a statement of changes in equity

How will I learn?
Learning Experience
Your course starts on the first of the month. The course consists of 6 modules, and is designed to take you eight weeks to complete.
