About This Course

Accounting and Financial Reporting engages learners in applying the principles of corporate finance and accounting to business decision making. Course topics include financial statements and other reports, the basics of financial forecasting and budgeting, accounting analytics, and the communications and vocabulary related to financial statements.

What support is available for learners?
Nexford offers learners support from our Success Advisors, who can advise on academic planning, enrollment, time management, and other issues related to life as a student and working adult. Nexford also offers other types of academic support, such as a writing resource center, research assistance from our online Librarian, and learning support within courses from the course instructor and the course facilitator. Nexford also offers opportunities for learners to connect with each other to get support from their peers, include a Peer Mentor program and alumni communities.
What time commitment do I need to make?
Learners should expect to commit a minimum of 15-20 hours per week, per course. The max duration to complete a course is 8 weeks, but learners can move at a quicker pace if they like.
What's the deadline to enroll?
You may enroll at any time, but we recommend you enroll at least one week before your first course. This gives you enough time to complete your orientation and explore the learning environment before you start.
I missed the application deadline. Can I still apply?
You can! We accept new learners on the first of each month. So even though you missed one deadline, there's another start date around the corner.
