Write for us – guest post guidelines
Thanks for your interest in writing a guest post for Nexford’s blog, NXU Insights. Here’s everything you need to know
We often feature guest writers on NXU Insights and do our best to promote every post to our global network ― 🎉nearly 100,000 fans on Facebook. Please read this guide before submitting your post. By submitting a guest post for our review, you’re confirming that you agree to this checklist. Make sure:
It’s original
“Being original doesn’t require being first. It just means being different and better.” ― Adam M. Grant, Originals: How Nonconformists Move the World
All guest posts should be original and new content by an author. If you’re associated with a company providing the post, you must have the company’s sign-off. Your guest post can’t appear elsewhere online, including your own blog. Once your post is accepted for publication, you permit us to be the primary publishing platform of your content and agree not to publish it elsewhere.
It’s valuable
In every request, please tell us the value of the article and who it’s for. What’s the pain point you’re trying to solve?
It’s relevant
“If you don’t like change, you will like irrelevance even less.” ― General Eric Shinseki
We’re all about relevant skills, so please make topics tied to business or personal skills. Check out our MBA courses to see our hottest topics, such as AI and automation. Another option is to write about how to negotiate a job offer, climb the career ladder or network your heart out.
It’s linked
To link or not to link is not the question! Of course, you should! While linking to your website is fine, it must be high-quality and relevant content. Also, the links should add value to the audience. The perfect use of links on NXU Insights is to link to a third-party credible source to prove a point or back up an argument.
It’s human
Writers should provide the following information:
A current email address
A short bio, 50 words or less
A link to a company website
A profile picture
Social profile links
Please note: We will not attribute your post to a company; the author bio must be for a specific person representing the company.
Fine print
Images
Our designers will provide graphics, so please don’t spend time in the Adobe Suite unless it directly relates to the content, for example, data graphs or photography.
Post length
Posts should be between 600 and 1,500 words.
How to submit
Please submit your post as a Word document, or paste in the body of the email message to marketing (@) nexford.org. No PDFs or HTML formatting, please. Make sure you include “NXU Insights guest post” in the email title. If you’re a subject matter expert, please say so. If you’re a learner, please say where you’re based and what program you’re on.
Please note that all submissions are pro bono and won’t be compensated apart from with gratitude, brand awareness and sharing with an ever-growing global audience. Thank you in advance for your work and expertise.
Acceptance
Not every blog is accepted. Our publication schedule typically takes 4 to 8 weeks. You’ll be notified via email if your post is accepted. If we don’t send you a publication date via email within 4 weeks of submission, we won’t be publishing your article on our blog, but we might be able to make use of it on our social media channels. Stay tuned!
Edits
At the time of publishing, we may lightly edit the post for readability. Mentions of specific products or brands may be removed or modified, and relevant internal and external links may be added.
